Founded on June 3, 1907 by Doña Librada Avelino and Doña Carmen de Luna, CEU began as the Centro Escolar de Señoritas—a pioneering non-sectarian women’s school that aimed to shape ideal citizens grounded in “science and virtue”. It evolved into a university by 1932, expanding across multiple campuses (Manila, Makati, Malolos) with over 50 academic programs spanning Pharmacy, Dentistry, Optometry, Liberal Arts, Business, Nursing, Law, and more.
